Chamber faq

The Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce:

1. Exists to create jobs for all Santa Feans

2. Promotes the community, grows the local economy and advocates for local business

3. Is not connected in ANY way with the US Chamber of Commerce

4. Was founded in 1910

5. Is a 501c6 non-profit organization with a board of directors of 25 local businesspeople

6. Invites ALL local businesses, individuals and non-profits to become members

7. 80% of Chamber members have less than 10 employees

8. Advocates for business at the City, County and State levels

9. Endorses issues not candidates

10. Is a non-partisan pro-business organization

11. Does not have a PAC or raise money for political purposes

12. Is management agent for the Leadership Santa Fe program

13. Has a staff of eight

14. Proudly supports all businesses regardless of gender, ethnicity, etc.

15. Administers the Chamber Opportunities Fund which supports education in the community

16. Any representative from a member business can attend any Chamber event

17 .Individuals can join the Chamber but no listings or committee benefits are included

18. For your dues you get: a business voice, marketing opportunities and visibility
