2025 Legislative Reception: Building Connections for New Mexico’s Future

1/28/2025

On Monday, January 27, 2025, the Santa Fe Community Convention Center buzzed with energy as over 750 attendees gathered for the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce’s annual Legislative Reception. Sponsored by Anchorum Health Foundation, this premier networking event brought together Chambers of Commerce, business advocates, and community leaders from across New Mexico, reaffirming its status as Santa Fe’s largest legislative networking event of the year.

The Legislative Reception provided a dynamic platform for attendees to connect in support of local businesses while enjoying hors d’oeuvres crafted by 19 Food Artist Sponsors, representing some of Santa Fe’s finest culinary talent. Guests mingled among more than 90 booths, which included businesses, nonprofit organizations, and advocacy groups showcasing their work and contributions to New Mexico’s economy. Food sponsors were strategically positioned throughout the expo, offering diverse and delicious cuisine that kept spirits high throughout the evening.

Attendees had the unique opportunity to interact with representatives from both the public and private sectors, including local and state leaders, in an engaging and collaborative setting. The presence of government officials alongside business leaders and community members underscored the event’s goal of fostering meaningful conversations and connections.

Anchorum Health Foundation, the event’s title sponsor, plays a pivotal role in supporting community well-being. Based in Santa Fe, Anchorum partners with local organizations to address critical health and social determinants, improving quality of life across northern New Mexico. Their commitment to uplifting communities through collaborative efforts was well aligned with the evening’s spirit of cooperation and advocacy.

Adding a layer of philanthropy to the evening, coat check services were provided by two impactful nonprofits: Be the Blessing - Richard Montoya Organization and Community Options, Inc. Proceeds from the coat check directly benefited these organizations. Be the Blessing offers assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship, focusing on essential resources and transitional support. Community Options, Inc. works to empower people with disabilities through meaningful employment and community involvement, enhancing independence and quality of life.

With its vibrant mix of business expo, culinary showcase, and legislative networking, the 2025 Legislative Reception served as a testament to the strength and resilience of New Mexico’s business community. The Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce extends its gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers for making this event a resounding success. We look forward to another exceptional gathering next year, as we continue to champion the economic and social vitality of our region.
