The Mission of the Santa Fe Chamber is to strengthen the local economy and serve as the Voice of Business in community affairs.
The Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce was established in 1882 as the Santa Fe Board of Trade; the Chamber has since been the voice of the region’s business community. The Chamber has helped turn the Santa Fe area into one of the best places in the country to live, work and raise a family all while helping over 1,000 member businesses thrive. The Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce is committed to four main areas of focus:
Creating a Stronger Local Economy

Working with government agencies to develop cooperative programs that foster a positive climate for economic development.
Supporting the tourism industry which generates millions of dollars in the Santa Fe area
Working to streamline permitting processes
Bringing together community members around issues affecting business and economic development including: transportation, infrastructure, technology, health care, education, legislation etc.
Working for government policies that promote rather than inhibit business growth
Producing the Santa Fe Business Expo which brings together hundreds of local businesses in April each year
Educating business people through cooperative programs with SCORE Santa Fe, the SBDC, Santa Fe Futures and the Santa Fe Business Incubator
Promoting the Community
Encouraging visitors from all over the world to vacation and convene in Santa Fe
Providing exposure for member businesses on www.santafechamber.com which draws over 25,000 visitors a month
Maintaining a Resource Center with complete visitor and community information
Is the management agent for such community-oriented programs as Leadership Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Chamber Opportunities Fund
Supports numerous community improvement efforts such as Plaza Clean Up Day
Conducts ribbon cuttings, welcoming new and expanding businesses in Santa Fe
Supports the Bienvenidos volunteers, who assist thousands of visitors with information about Santa Fe from the Plaza Booth generously donated by First National Santa Fe 1870. Booth is located at 62 Lincoln Avenue, Santa Fe, NM, 87501

Hosts Business Over Breakfast, Business After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings, Legislative Reception, Business Expo and Job Fair, Business Awards Gala, Banking on Birdies Golf Tournament, Senior Lifestyle Expo, Women's Leadership Luncheon, and Leadership Santa Fe
Offers member-to-member discounts and coupons that save members businesses thousands of dollars
Lists all members in online and printed business directories, which attract thousands of visitors annually

ADVOCACY
Advocates for business at the city, county and state levels
Hosts a series of conversations with community leaders
Supports improved regulation of short-term rentals in Santa Fe area
Actively involved in increasing affordable housing
Advocates a realistic and fact-based energy plan for the community, incorporating cost, reliability, regulations, the environment and lessons learned from other cities
Supported efforts such as improved broadband infrastructure, workforce housing, film and media industries, senior housing
Assisted the City of Santa Fe with balanced budget alternatives
Hosts annual Legislative Preview and Legislative Reception events, which attract hundreds of guests, as well as regular meetings with local elected officials
