Employment

Santa Fe has consistently maintained a low unemployment rate of 3-4% annually. The economy is heavily dependent on government and the hospitality industry, and the service and retail industries have shown consistent strong growth over the past few years.

Other industry clusters include: Biotech/biomedical, publishing, information technologies, medical practitioners, new media and financial services.

Los Alamos National Laboratory is thirty miles away and employs over 12,000 people throughout the region.
