There are several Chamber committees, taskforces, and interest groups that promote advocacy, policy change, networking, and tourism. These groups consist of other business professionals who are concerned with similar issues in categories such as: education, economy, tourism, public policy, membership and supporting local business.
Committee involvement is entirely voluntary. The Chamber encourages members to sit in at any of the monthly meetings to determine if there is a good match of interests.
THE TOURISM TASKFORCE represents the interests of hospitality—our biggest industry.
Public Policy INTEREST GROUP
THE PUBLIC POLICY COMMITTEE is concerned with advocacy, legislative issues and growing the Voice of Business.
Economic Development Committee
The ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE centers itself around jobs and creating a prosperous community for entrepreneurs.
Workforce Development/Education committee
THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT/EDUCATION COMMITTEE works to improve the local workforce at all levels (pre-k through higher education).
AMBASSADOR COMMITTEE: The Chamber Ambassadors enhance the growth and development of the existing membership by recruiting new members and attending ribbon-cuttings at new businesses.
AD HOC COMMITTEE TO ASSIST WITH CITY FINANCE CHALLENGES
A committee to help the City of Santa Fe find and consider options to overcome its projected $15 million budget shortfall. Ellen Marshall of Marshall Rose and Assoc. and Britt Gladu of Barker Realty are co-chairing the Task Force. All interested Chamber members are invited to participate.
This important group of 100+ volunteers staffs the Chamber’s tourist information booth at the Plaza from mid-May through mid-October. Some members also assist in staffing the Chamber’s Resource Center during the off season.
