Businesses can help in three ways: Returning Heroes Tax Credit: When you hire a returning veteran, you will receive a 40% tax credit. If they were unemployed more than 4 weeks, the tax credit is on the first $6,000 in wages. If they were unemployed more than 6 months, the tax credit is on the first $14,000 in wages.
